Hello, dear wyrdweavers - Are you feeling the eclipse energy? You’re not alone. As an empath, I’ve been feeling it build for over a week, and it’s reach its peak. With so much activity happening in Aries, there’s a lot of fire in the atmosphere. And a lot of fear, angst and anger, too.
This eclipse coincides with Mercury retrograde — also happening in Aries — notorious for communication breakdowns and tech mishaps. People like to blame Mercury Rx for everything, and occasionally, he does act like an a**hole. Personally, I find Mercury Rx to very medicinal as opposed to being malevolent. But that’s just me. That being said tho, this combo can fuel pre-existing fears and make the unknown seem even more daunting.
Eclipses shake things up, bringing hidden truths and buried emotions to the surface, which, whether you want to believe it or not, is a good thing. This raw energy can feel unsettling, but it's important to remember that it's not here to destroy — it's here to transform. That’s what eclipses do.
However, we can choose how we navigate this energy. We have agency.
IMHO it’s the hidden truths and buried emotions coming to the surface that really scare people. Eclipses happen too often to be scared of them.
I will never tell someone their feelings aren’t valid. But I’m about to give you some tough love: Stop acting like the world is about is end cuz it’s not. The fear surrounding eclipses is overblown. Knowledge is power. Reading is fundamental. Research the eclipse's astrological significance and learn about the mechanics behind this regular celestial occurrence.
Surrender to the silence
Instead of sitting around worrying, consider using this time for quiet reflection. Let your emotions surface and observe them without judgment. What underlying anxieties might be holding you back creatively? Once identified, these anxieties can be addressed and released.
Let go of the pressure to force creativity. If you’re not feeling it, you’re not feeling it. This eclipse is an invitation for introspection. Meditate, journal or simply sit and BE. Reconnect with your inner wellspring. Inspiration often strikes when we allow space for it. When you open a pathway for the muse, she will come.
Engage in activities that nourish your soul — read a book, watch a thought-provoking film (I’m currently watching 3 Body Problem on Netflix) or simply revel in the beauty of the world around you. These experiences will subconsciously feed your creative mind, and inspiration will return with renewed vigor when the eclipse energy subsides.
A gentle hiatus
Due to the potent energy of the eclipse and the collective unrest, I'm intentionally taking a break from offering tarot or lunar guidance this week. I plan to be still, observant and quiet, open to receiving. This eclipse, along with Mercury Rx, is happening in my 4th house of home and family. A lot is happening and at a very fast pace. Prioritizing my own well-being ensures I can come out on the other side of this portal with renewed clarity to serve you better.
Until then,
The Book Druid xo
