Beloved Wyrdweavers,
I welcome you to this inaugural week of igniting your imagination with the guidance of tarot and oracle cards! For this first week, we explore themes of stability, introspection, transformation and navigating choices to fuel your speculative fiction endeavors. Enjoy!
Monday, Feb 26: King of Pentacles and Fierce Serenity
Tarot insights: Stability, mastery, resourcefulness, building foundations
Oracle insights: Grounded calmness, infinite patience, trusting your intuition
In your writing: Overflowing with warmth, the King of Pentacles is reminding you to get clear on your vision for your book. Ground your worldbuilding. Flesh out the details of your fictional society, its systems and your characters' daily lives. Channel the King's grounded energy to establish a strong foundation for your narrative.
Tuesday, Feb 27: Eight of Cups and Nourish the Sacred Feminine
Tarot insights: Transition, seeking fulfillment, reevaluation, letting go
Oracle insights: Listening to intuition, creativity, using emotions as your guide
In your writing: Explore character motivations. Delve into the desires and frustrations driving your characters. Use the Sacred Feminine's wisdom to tap into their emotional depths and inner journeys.
Wednesday, Feb 28: Judgement and The Edge of Evolution Feels Messy
Tarot insights: Self-reflection, inner knowing, awakening, transformation
Oracle insights: Growth requires discomfort, embracing the unknown, trusting the process, surrendering to uncertainty
In your writing: Don’t be afraid to revise and refine. Get comfy with the "messy" stage of transformation. Assess your work with a critical yet compassionate eye, allowing your story to evolve and reach its full potential. And don’t shy away from seeking professional guidance from an editor or writing coach.
Thursday, Feb 29: Four of Pentacles and Success in Transformation
Tarot insights: Security, possessiveness, stagnation, holding onto what serves you
Oracle insights: Embrace change, celebrate growth, acknowledge achievements
In your writing: Identify areas of growth. Reflect on what elements of your writing serve the story best and which might hinder its progress. We are still very much in the energy of the full moon. Full moons are about celebrating and releasing. Celebrate how far your story has come from its inception and let go of what no longer serves your narrative.
Friday, Mar 1: Seven of Cups and External Validation
Tarot insights: Choices, illusions, temptation, discerning true desires
Oracle insights: Trust your own judgement, define your success, celebrate internal validation
In your writing: Evaluate your plot and/or character choices. Consider the various directions your story could take. Discern which path aligns with your vision for your story and resonates authentically, not just for external validation from your readers.
Remember wyrdweavers, these cards offer guidance, not limitations. Be open to their whispers, explore their depths and let them spark your creativity as you navigate your writing journey this week.
Yours in magick and mysticism,
The Book Druid xo

Thank for for the inspiration. I am currently using the Lightseers Tarot deck. It is new to me, and I am drawn to the bright colors and more modern images. It is interesting to use another deck to open up new ways of seeing the cards. I am excited to dive into the journaling.
This is such a beautiful idea. I loved reading it. Your photos are amazing too. Thank you for the inspo.
